Title: Director, Human Resources – 1 year contract
Reporting to: Chief Human Resources Officer
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid – in office a minimum of 3 days per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, results-driven and performance-driven Director, Human Resources, to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director, HR will be based in the Toronto office and will be responsible for all areas of human resources supporting North America, including but not limited to recruitment, talent and retention strategies, employee relations, health & safety, compensation & benefits, performance management and overall HR operations. The Director, HR will develop strong partnerships with management to act as a strategic business partner, coach, and consultant for all aspects of HR. In addition, the Director, HR will develop and ensure consistency and compliance in HR policies and procedures; provide quality HR services within a corporate framework and manage various HR projects, programs, and initiatives. The Director, HR will have two direct reports.
Being a strategic partner. You’ll use your experience to lead our top-notch people-centric programs, acting as a trusted partner, influencing adoption and implementation across the company. Act as strategic business partner to all areas of the business, supporting the creation and advancement of HR programs and practices, focusing on communication, execution, and participation
Being a leader. Your leadership muscle will be flexed as you guide, coach, and advise in Venus' environment of achieving, inspiring and connecting.
Being an influencer.
Your excellent communication skills will come in handy to effectively convey HR initiatives, policies, and recommendations to diverse audiences and influence decision-making at all levels of the company.

As you oversee programming and strategy, you’ll roll them out to great success, with an eye for change enablement.
